On February 18-19, 2019, the “Regional Ecological Expert Network” held an orientation meeting in Almaty, which was attended by representatives of environmental organizations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the seminar: the creation of a regional ecological network.
The meeting discussed various models for creating a network of experts in the field of environmental protection.
A representative of the Center for Development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency of Kyrgyzstan made a presentation on “Implementing a Green Economy and a Model of Causal Relations”, where gave a full detailed assessment of the development of green energy and a green economy in Kyrgyzstan.
AndreaM. Bassi made a presentation on “Updating Progress: Sectoral and Integrated National Cause and Effect Diagrams” – he is Founder and Director of KnowlEdge Srl company, part-time assistant of professor of Department of Modeling of System Dynamics, School of Public Leadership of Stellenbosch University.
Representatives of the Youth Environmental Center of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan presented the Project on Environmentally Sustainable Land Use and Life Support “ELMARL SLMTJ - a new Knowledge Management Network on Environmentally Sustainable Land Use”.
Vice-President KPEA Kuzin V.V. presented the presentation “Association of Individual Entrepreneurs and Legal Entities Association“ Kazakhstan Chamber of Environmental Auditors ”, where he fully acquainted those present with the results of the work of KPEA.
Participants actively discussed the questions: What should be the network? How will it be managed? Where will be registered, etc.?
Following the meeting, the main conclusion can be drawn that in the conditions of transition to a green economy, this kind of exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives of different countries is vital, since the Green Economy leads to an increase in people's well-being and social justice, while significantly reducing risks for the environment and the scarcity of environmental resources.
